Surf Contest Website WSG2009.com in Hot Water Apr 15

isa-billabong-world-surfing-games-2009Recently, we took notice of a website wsg2009.com which is relatively new. I don’t imagine the site has much of a future since it is dedicated to the upcoming ISA Billabong World Surfing Games here in Costa Rica this August. The site has been under a coordinated attack by the Costa Rica surfing federation which is the organizer of the WSG 2009 and the ISA, which is the association that gives credence to the awards the games issue, along with the surfer rankings.

This site has been interested for some time in posting information about the surfing games but like the site wsg2009.com has not been able to find any new information about the games. Apparently, they are being asked to remove logos which does not seem like a big deal but according to the website the logos they are being accused of using are not anywhere on the site. We notice that no mention of the sites intention to provide information about the surfing event is recognized or appreciated. more…

Costa Rica World Surfing Games Condo Rentals Apr 07

isa-world-surfing-games-2009We will be adding another category to the site which will be a temporary one. Many of our sites visitors have been asking for suggestions of hotel to stay at in Costa Rica and condos to rent in Jaco during the ISA Billabong World Surfing Games. The WSG 2009 begins on July 31st through the first week in August. This is a great time for many North American surfers and surf fans since they are on summer break and the prices here in Costa Rica are the Green Season rates.

We will have the category put up next week and will post individual projects that are willing to have a special price for this site. Whatever code is required to get the discount will be posted given to you after you send an email request to us. An un-official WSG 2009 site has been launched in English that might be of interest to some of you since many have written asking about more information about the games.

Honestly people, if there was more information I would post it but there seems to be very little and what I hear is just rumors. Check back to see the posting for the  World Surfing Games Rentals.

Surf Video CNS Copa Balance Open Nosara,Costa Rica Feb 22

Once again more opinions coming out about the final results of the Copa Natural Balance Open in Playa Guinones or Nosara, Costa Rica. The 18 year old surfer from Jaco, Jair Perez, won his first contest in the Open category in Nosara, Costa Rica. For those in attendance at the Playa Guiones contest of the Circuito Nacional de Surf  sponsored by DayStar Properties it was the most memorable contest performance in memory. In this contest, not only did Jair win his first open category but  he beat the 5th and 6th rankded surfers in the world. This is quite an accomplishment for the young surfer out of Jaco, Costa Rica.
